Mr. Hoffman’s experience in aviation spans more than 40 years, exceeding 17,000 hours of flight time. A Flight Instructor since 1962, he is qualified as an Airline Transport Pilot with nine type ratings. He is also qualified with Commercial Pilot privileges in Helicopters, Sea Planes and Gliders. A “Gold Seal” Flight Instructor for Airplane Single and Multi-Engine, Instrument, Helicopter and Glider, he has given nearly 6,000 hours of flight instruction. He has been qualified by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Designated Pilot Examiner and regularly conducts Pilot Proficiency Examinations, Airline Transport Pilot certificate check rides, and type-rating check rides for pilots in Learjets. Currently, Mr. Hoffman is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Techniflite of America, Inc., located at Centennial Airport in Englewood, Colorado. Techniflite is an FAA 142 training center, providing training in simulators for the Raytheon Beechcraft 1900 and King Air series of airplanes. In 1967, Mr. Hoffmann founded the Hoffman Pilot Center at Jeffco Airport. He has also served as Flight Instructor and Clinic Director for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for ten years beginning in 1963 and authored the original AOPA Mountain Flying Course. A recognized authority on safety and flight operations, Mr. Hoffman has written several articles that have been published by NAFI Mentor, Flight, AOPA Pilot, Wings West, and Professional Pilot magazines. Recipient, “Jack Feeny Memorial Flight Instructor of the Year” award, bestowed by the Federal Aviation Administration; “AOPA Flight Instructor of the Month” Attended over 30 training courses for specific models of aircraft. Member and Chairman of the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI); Member, National Air Transportation Association (NATA), Flight Training Committee; Chairman of the Simulation Sub-Committee Certifications and Ratings: Airline Transport Pilot (Learjet, Westwind Jet (IA-JET), Hawker Jet (HS-125), Cessna Citation Jet (CE-500), Gulfstream G-159 (G-I), Gulfstream G-1159 (G-II, G-IIB, and G-III), Fairchild F-27, Howard Super Ventura (L-B34), Raytheon Beechcraft 1900) - Commercial Pilot (Helicopters, Sea Planes and Gliders) - “Gold Seal” Flight Instructor (Airplane Single and Multi-Engine, Instrument, Helicopter and Glider) Flight experience: Total time: 17,000+ hours – Total instructor time: 6,000 hours – 40 years experience as Flight Instructor
